LOCAL DESIGN FIRM CREATES BUZZ FOR BRISTOL RIVERSIDE THEATRE WITH BOLD NEW LOOK
5.12.03

Bristol Riverside Theatre, also known as BRT, has a whole new look this season. Designed and developed by Pritchard Design in Doylestown, the 2003-2004 season introduces an identity that combines a little bit of contemporary, a little bit of retro, and a lot of color to display the quality of creativity found at BRT. This image will be carried through their new brochure, show posters, website, banners, tickets and season poster.

BRT Founding Producing Director Susan Atkinson discovered Pritchard Design when searching for local designers on the Web. “I was thrilled when I found the diverse creativity I saw at pritcharddesign.com, and was even more excited when I met with Laura Pritchard. We clicked immediately,” says Atkinson.

After discussing the needs and personality of BRT with Atkinson and Theatre Artistic Director Edward Keith Baker, Pritchard applied her philosophy of appealing to the intelligence and emotional response of the audience to develop the new look for the season. “Laura went straight to the heart of who we are and what we want to communicate to our current and potential audience,” says Baker. “I am very pleased with the result and enjoy working with such a thoughtful designer.”

BRT is an award-winning regional theatre in Bristol, Bucks County, and has been pleasing audiences for sixteen years. An intimate theatre – no audience member sits further than 40 feet from the Broadway-size stage – in a distinctive building on the Delaware River, BRT has produced such live performances as the Barrymore winning world premier of The Balkan Women, two new musicals by Country legend Larry Gatlin, Hamlet directed by theatre icon Douglas Campbell, Evita, The Cherry Orchard and Chicago.

Keep an eye out for the 2003-2004 brochure in mid- to late-May. Coming in Fall 2003: the new poster for the first show of the season. Woman In Black is a thrilling London-based ghost story. Also coming soon is a new look for BRT’s website, brtstage.org.
